I would like to say “Thank you” for visiting Northeast High School’s website. My name is Sammy Sullivan, and I am the Principal here at Northeast High School. I started my educational career in 1999 as a science teacher in Scott County. During my 20 years of service I have been a classroom teacher, lead teacher, coach, athletic director, assistant principal, and principal for various schools in the state of Mississippi. Also, I have served in the US Air Force and the Mississippi Army National Guard. My tours of duty include bases in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, as well as several locations in the continental United States. It has been a pleasure to serve our country and our state. Now I am honored to work with and serve the students, teachers, parents, and community of Northeast Lauderdale High School.
At NEHS we have a shared vision of “Creating a Contagious Community of Hope” for our students and their futures. Our staff works tirelessly to meet the growing needs of each student while pursuing the best practices available in the education system. We offer a full spectrum of core and elective courses, as well as Advanced Placement, Dual Enrollment, and Dual Credit CTE Courses. This year we have included a Reading Interventionist to our staff in an attempt to improve student performance on the state standardized test and ACT.
Northeast High School is proud to be part of a “District of Innovation” that will “educate all students so they can become competent, contributing members of society.”
