Welcome to the website of the Northeast Lauderdale High School Trojans! My name is Joshua Herrington, and I am the principal of this wonderful school. I am a 2005 graduate of West Lauderdale High School. Upon graduation, I attended Meridian Community College where I played soccer. Next, I earned a B.S. in Education from Mississippi State University and a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from Arkansas State University. I began my teaching career at Meridian High School in the fall of 2012, where I taught 10th-grade world history, psychology, law related education, ancient history of the Middle East, and sociology. After a few years of teaching, I began coaching soccer and tennis.  After teaching five years at MHS, I was promoted to become a lead teacher in the fall of 2017. The very next year I was graciously promoted again to become assistant principal.  I remained the assistant principal of Meridian High School for the next two years. My family and I spent a total of 8 wonderful years at Meridian High School before I was given the amazing opportunity to become principal at Northeast Lauderdale High School in 2020. Northeast Lauderdale High School is a place of wonderful tradition and pride. I am truly humbled and blessed to be a Trojan! I am happily married to my beautiful wife, Mrs. Chelsea Herrington, who I have been married to for 6 years.  We have two wonderful children, a dog, and a turtle. As a family we look forward to seeing the great students of Northeast Lauderdale High School receive a quality education. As always, Trojan pride is the best pride!
